The Pokesdown Club @100 project was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and was designed to be a celebration of Pokesdowns history and provide a permanent record of the history. It was driven by young people with the support of a project worker and has providedrecords and stories from the past in many different formats.

Different groups of young people contributed to the project. Young people who have used the club recently hosted a series of coffee morinings for ex members and staff. At these mornings they recorded the stories of the members and produced radio shows on the local community radio station. Other groups of young people worked on video's, websites and written history. We also had a group of young people from the Beaufort Estate who are the next generation to use the building and contribute to the life of the club like the many generations before them.

Although this project has been completed, it is in many ways ongoing so if you have a story to tell please post or email your tale/s to us, or give us a call. They do not have to be your entire career at Pokesdown, but more the memorable moments or your favourite story. It is the stories of the people that make up the most important part of the clubs history and we will be very pleased to hear from you all.
