Feedback

As a voluntary sector community organisation, we are always interested in your comments and feedback whether this be on the website design, the work we do, the premises, the new project or the plans for the new building. We need your comments to help us shape the future of Pokesdown Youth Club so please do take time to complete the feedback form and return it to us.

Fundraising

With a charity such as ourselves, more funding is always required and it is often lack of funds that prevents us from carrying out all the work we would like to do. With a major rebuild project such as the one proposed for Pokesdown this is especially true and we estimate that the capital cost of the project will total around three million pounds. In addition to this, ongoing revenue funding is required to cover the day to day costs of operating a youth club. Some of the proposed areas of work will be self financing and may even produce a surplus to help fund the other areas of work, but donations towards the youth work are always welcome and needed.

If you feel able to contribute towards the capital or revenue costs of the club please contact Terry Yarrow, whose details appear on the Contact Us page. Remember, little does not mean insignificant and any contribution whether small or large will be invaluable as we progress this project.

It may be that you have some good ideas on how to raise funds or would personally like to do a sponsored 'walk on your hands for a week' event or something similar, in which case please contact us. We will be pleased to hear from you and to explore your ideas further with you.

Volunteering

This is another area where there is always need as we can always use more volunteers. This applies to the youth work and also other fields such as the fitness suite, arts, theatre, or perhaps simply in the administrative functions. If you have skills that you would like to use for the benefit of the community or if you would like to gain some valuable experience then please contact Terry Yarrow initially for a discussion.
